Antique "Metaphedrin" Experimental Ephedrine Medication Package

This shit is strange, I am not gonna lie.

So I would estimate this was probably made in the 1930s–1950s and from what I could gather, it contained Ephedrine Sulfate (which is still used today as a bronchodilator) and then Metaphen, which was an antiseptic with mercury! I honestly don't think this ever caught on cause... WTF honestly. It was meant to be dropped in the nose for Congestion.

Finding a rare formulation like this is special by itself, but the condition of this is INSANE. It contains not only an amazing condition bottle with label, but also the original box AND DROPPER! Truly, this is a crazy find.
